AACs bring revolution in health sector

Tarn Taran, June 20:

          The start of Aam aadmi clinics (AAC) has brought revolution in the health sector as people are getting health services at their door steps, these views were expressed by that deputy commissioner Tarn Taran, Mr. Sandeep Kumar while reviewing the performance of AACs in the meeting of District Health Society (DHS) held at District Administrative Complex on Thursday.

          “The AACs had come into existence in the year 2022 and more than 5 lakh patients what treated in these newly introduced health facilities” said DC Sandeep Kumar. He said that “The state government is providing the free facility of 40 medical laboratory test and 80 medicines to the patients”, added he. “A person has been deployed for the collection of blood and urine samples on daily basis and the staff ensures the report to the patient on the very next day”, said DC Sandeep Kumar.

          The Deputy Commissioner informed that “Thirty AACs are operationalized in the district and experienced staff which includes medical officer, pharmacist and clinical assistant were appointed in these health centers”. He said that ” AACs were opened in rural as well as urban areas of the district especially residents of border area villages are taking benefits of these health centers well”. 

          The civil surgeon Tarn Taran Dr. Bharat Bhushan said “Regular monitoring and supervision of these AACs were being conducted by the department”. He said that “These health centers are well equipped and information about patients and their treatment is being well kept in AAC portal”.
