With the joint efforts of Water Supply and Sanitation Department, Tarn Taran and Gram Panchayat Harike Block Patti, a district level Women’s Wash Run was organized at Health Center Harike Pattan to promote safe water, sanitation and personal hygiene (WASH), in which 54 Girls participated.

On this occasion, the participants gathered took a pledge to conserve water, install taps on their domestic water connections, prevent water misuse, and protect clean water in the villages and streets and spread the message of cleanliness. At the end of the program, Mrs. Baljit Kaur, wife of Sarpanch Mr. Iqbal Singh Sidhu, was honored by the department for her excellent performance in water and sanitation works. The winning girls in the Women Wash Race were honored by the Water Supply and Sanitation Department and the Gram Panchayat. On this occasion, Sarpanch Iqbal Singh Sidhu, Ranjit Kaur, Kawalpreet Kaur, Gurpreet Kaur, Siratjot Kaur, Waris Singh, members Amrik Singh, Lakhwinder Singh, Hardial Singh, Paramjit Singh, Pargat Singh, members Raj Kaur, Harjit Kaur, Manjit Kaur, On the occasion, Agrez Singh Gill, Nishan Singh Gill, Joginder Singh, Puran Singh, Gurpreet Singh, Gurjant Singh, Malkit Singh  Participants from Water Supply & Sanitation Department Jagdeep Singh IEC District Coordinator Tarn Taran Pawan Kumar Junior Engineer, Nandini Mehta Junior Engineer, Amanpreet Singh Block Coordinator, Sukhbir Kaur Volunteer, Makhan Singh and Jaswinder Singh Data Entry Operators etc. were present.
