NCC Cadets of PHHP&C Directorate, Chandigarh Cycle to pay Homage to Freedom Fighters

As part of Republic Day Celebrations 2025 & to pay pay homage to the Freedom fighters of our country, cadets of NCC Directorate PHHP&C, Chandigarh are undertaking a Cycle Rally from Hussainiwala to New Delhi from 07 Jan 2025 to 20 Jan 2025. The Cycle Rally comprising of One Officer, one Associate NCC Officer, one Permt Instr staff & 12 NCC Cadets (06 Boys & 06 Girls) reached Khemkaran on the evening of 07 Jan 25, in the area of NCC Group, Amritsar. The rally was flagged off on 08 Jan 2025 ie Day 2 from Abdul Hamid Memorial, Khemkaran by Shri Alkesh Kumar Sinha, Commandant, 101 BSF Battalion & Lt Col Amritpal Singh, Offg Commanding Officer, 1 Punjab Battalion NCC. The Cycle expedition team lead by Col Sombir Dabbas, paid homage at the Abdul Hamid Memorial before the flag out. The cadets also got the opportunity to interact with the ex-servicemen of the area. The cyclists covered a distance of 60 km & reached the Holy city of Amritsar at 1500hrs. The Cycle Rally was ‘flagged in’ at Amritsar by Brig Kulpreet Singh Bawa, NCC Group Commander Amritsar. The cadets will spend the next day visiting the Golden Temple, Jallianwala Bagh Memorial & Beating the Retreat at Attari-Wagah border.
